Throughout our mission to aid the Palestinian people, the greatest strength we had was our team. We came from different backgrounds, with different skills and experiences, but we were united by a common goal: to help those suffering and bring hope to a community torn apart by conflict. We faced countless hardships—detentions at checkpoints, funding shortages, dangerous travel, and the emotional toll of witnessing so much suffering. At times, we felt overwhelmed, and some of us even questioned whether we could continue.
But we leaned on each other. We celebrated small victories together—delivering aid to a remote village, helping a child receive medical care, or seeing a farmer harvest their first crop in years. We supported each other through the darkest moments, sharing our fears and frustrations, and reminding each other of why our work mattered. Over 300 aid workers had been killed in Gaza alone since October 2023, a sobering reminder of the risks we faced, but it only strengthened our resolve to keep going. In the end, we not only delivered life-saving aid to thousands of Palestinian people but also formed lifelong bonds with each other and with the communities we helped. Our journey was filled with hardships, but it taught us that unity, perseverance, and compassion can overcome even the most unimaginable challenges—and that together, we can make a difference.
